RESPONSIBILITIES
Dr. Erkan Oterkus is a PI on RO-FDP project. His research is mainly focused structural mechanics and real-time monitoring.
DR. Selda oterkus
Associate Professor (Senior Lecturer) in the department of Naval Architecture, Ocean and Marine Engineering of University of Strathclyde and Vice-Director of PeriDynamics Research Centre (PDRC).
RESPONSIBILITIES
Dr. Selda Oterkus’ contribution to the RO-FDP project is in structural design and project management.
dr. islam amin
Associate Professor at Port Said University and visiting researcher at University of Strathclyde - Naval Architecture, Ocean & Marine Engineering.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Dr. Islam Amin contributes to the RO-FDP project as primary researcher on hydrodynamic performance of floating desalination platform using numerical methods.
PROF. MEHMET ATLAR
Professor - Associate HoD Research & KE in the department of Naval Architecture, Ocean and Marine Engineering of University of Strathclyde.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Prof. Mehmet Atlar will bring to the RO-FDP project his expertise in the fields of naval hydrodynamics, experiments and marine renewable energy research.
Prof. Sandy Day
Professor - Associate HoD Laboratories & Infrastructure in the department of Naval Architecture, Ocean and Marine Engineering of University of Strathclyde.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Prof. Sandy Day will bring to the RO-FDP project his expertise in the fields of naval hydrodynamics, experiments and marine renewable energy research.
Dr. Yigit Kemal Demirel
Associate Professor (Senior Lecturer) at the department of Naval Architecture, Ocean and Marine Engineering of University of Strathclyde.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Dr. Yigit Kemal Demirel will bring to the RO-FDP project his expertise in the fields of energy efficiency of ships, marine renewable energy devices. Dr. Demirel will contribute to the RO-FDP project by investigating the hydrodynamic performance of floating desalination platform using numerical methods.
EDRC - Egypt
Prof. Dr. Hosam A. Shawky
Director of Water Treatment & Desalination Unit and Water Quality Unit at EDRC.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Dr. Hosam A. Shawky is a PI on RO-FDP project. Dr. Shawky has more than 20 years of experience in water treatment, water desalination and water quality.
Dr. Mohamed ElSayed Abdelfattah
Researcher at EDRC.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Dr. Mohamed Elsayed is a CO-PI on RO-FDP project. Dr. Elsayed will bring to the project his experience in design of desalination units and he will perform gap analysis and site mapping for the project.
Dr. Ahmed Balah
Assistant Professor at Ain Shams University-Faculty Of Engineering.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Dr .Ahmed Balah will bring to the project his experience in numerical hydrodynamic modelling of oceanographic conditions and he will perform gap analysis and site mapping for the project.
Dr. Seif Bayoumi
Lecturer of Mechanical Engineering at Arab Academy for Science and Technology and Maritime Transport.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Dr Seif Bayoumi will bring to the project his experience in renewable energy their impacts on people and he will investigate project’s Environmental Impact Analysis and Socio-economic Analysis on poor people.
Dr. Dalia E. Abozaid
Assistant Professor of Economics and Director of Tyco Office at EDRC.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Dr Dalia E. Abozaid will investigate project’s Environmental Impact Analysis and Socio-economic Analysis on poor people. Furthermore here activities will be focused on the sustainable provision of potable water and she will contribute to the management team.
